So... the mental fucking midgets at Walmart sent out a country-wide memo and were like...
"Hmmm, might get some civil unrest, let's hide the ammo and not let people purchase it to protect themselves."
You're like, 'but that's not what the announcement said, they just said they were taking it off display'.
Well, I don't know what memo made it out to MY Walmart, but I had 6 different associates refuse to sell me ammo today, trying to tell me that Walmart stopped selling ammo until after the election.
[However, what you might not know, if you didn't catch it in the news, and what these idiots obviously didn't know, Walmart reversed their decision earlier today about "hiding" the ammo]
I wasn't about to let Tuesday come and go, and not have more ammo.
FINALLY... I DEMANDED to see the manager, because I wasn't prepared to leave without my allotment.
So the manager kept me waiting a good while. I was probably 30 min total in the ammo section.
Which was getting me a bit pissed...
But my friend mentioned something about why we had to wait, that I think she was right about. She said, he probably called their district or corp and asked before he came out to see me. And then he 'got the updated news'.
Because when he came out to see me, where every other person was dismissive, and tried to shut me down quickly, he came up to me and simply asked, which ammo did you need?
Right fuckers, that's what I thought!
That manager is a decent person. Those associates though... FFS.
Fuck the Karen meme. There is nothing wrong with politely demanding an appropriate service level.
:) I agree... however the image popped in my head as I was typing the sentence that 'I demanded to speak to the manager', and I wanted to get ahead of the Karenreferencing.
