I was listening when he said he had to "bug out" or words to that effect. It did not seem planned, but instead it appeared to be an improvisation. So, I would guess that something "cropped up" unexpectedly. I pray for Rush Limbaugh, and I hope he will be all right. I pray that the election goes the right way.
