Active duty navy for almost 2 decades, couldn't stand Bush, McStain, Pierre Delecto... Hated Gore, Kerry, Obama more.

Felt like a conscientious objector to the whole political process... then came along Trump. A man with more personal problems and personality traits that I didnt like than any candidate I can remember. A man that at one point was not Pro-life, was not 2A till the end, and to be honest a guy I hoped my son would not idolize. I again abstained.

Then I watch. He kept promises, he did things I loved, and things I hated (bumpstocks anyone?)... and yet it was intriguing. I did not see one rollback of LGBT or minority rights, I did not see the persecution of any group... except... well... except conservatives.

I am not a Republican nor a Democrat, I am something in the middle. Other than 1 or 2 single issues, I am a social liberal and fiscal conservative, which means no party really represents me. I did however find that Donald John Trump does. I may not have always enjoyed the journey, but to all you fellow pedes, it has been a pleasure.

Thanks for the laughs, the tears, the bricks and the coats. Thanks for helping me find a home in the cesspool of reddit and again afterwards. Thanks for the education and the fun. I look forward to the next 4 years.

Here's to a new movement, one that we should build upon and one that I hope lasts long after the Teflon Don sadly passes away. Here's to teaching the next generation (7th kid on way, are you doing your part?) that love of country and heritage is a good thing. Here's to shoving it down the crazy fucking left's throats all the shit they have thrown our way for decades.
