This is me: if there are others like me, then they didn't party switch because we aren't voting for a Republican, we are voting for Trump. Our party left us, and we still do not trust the old Republicans, but we do see life under Trump is vastly better than anyone could ever offer. They may also fear switching parties would expose their vote, and cause harassment. And they may also keep being Dem as a hope that the party does eventually move to something identifiable.

I'm a two time Obama voting, Bernie voting (in the primary), still blue registered Dem here! I still value things THAT WERE on the Dem side:

-accessible, affordable, efficient healthcare for all (doesn't need to be socialized)

-more efficient immigration process (I no longer believe in climate change, but I still don't want companies dumping crud into our lakes and ponds)

-prison reform

-no new uncessary wars

-protection of the environment

-protecting social security and Medicare (make them both better though)

-regulation on corporations that prevent abuse or monopolies (looking at you Google and Amazon)

Etc. But Trump has changed my mind on the wall (used to hate it, but now see 98% reduction in illegal immigration, and that's a great thing), has shown me republicans aren't all neocon warhawks that want war (avoided war with 4 nations that Hillary would've f'ed up), and actually had a huge improvement of life for minorities. So many other things, but I don't need to preach to the choir. Just wanted to prove I still have Dem values, but I voted red down ticket for the first time ever (2016 I voted Trump, but mixed ticket).

The more MAGA we have in DC, the better life is for all of us! Take it from this minority pede in a swing state: life is good under Trump!

Also, I convinced my long-time Trump HATING girlfriend to not vote Joe. Couldn't get her to vote Trump, but at least she didn't vote Joe!

And I got a bunch of church friends to vote Trump and get their ballots in!
