Blue dot: "deeply shared, internally motivated group focus"
This probably means people are sick and tired of our elites and deeply feel that things should change. The motivation for these thoughts and feelings comes from within.
The other one:
Red dot: "broadly shared coherence of thought and emotion."
This means a large group of people are thinking / feeling the same thing but the depth of these thoughts and feelings is less than when the dot turns blue. There's less depth to people's coherent thought and emotions since this coherence is probably triggered by an outside traumatizing event like 9/11.
Timelines won't split again, they have all been converging into a single point: Point Emerging Probably Entering.
