Yeah, the inmates are running the asylum. I had heard Larry and Sergei were both libertarians (and even Rand-ites!) but they get surrounded by SJWs and have to play the game or they have a revolution on their hands. That's probably why they retired.

This is true with a lot of the big techies; Jobs, Musk, Ellison, etc. Libertarians at the top who get surrounded by leftists and have to placate them.

Possibly this would improve if they work from home more. The other thing they could do is have campuses in different states. Facebook does have Austin, TX but that's just as liberal. The leadership does have a lot of lefties as well. Hopefully Parler remains true to its values.

Unfortunately I'm skeptical of Parler staying true to it's mission, only because I've been around long enough to remember when Facebook, Twitter and reddit all claimed to be bastions of free speech. Parler talks a great game now, but if they actually get marketshare - and then that success is threatened by controversy or media/activist/advertiser pressure - we're likely to see the same thing happen.

John Matze seems like a Republican from Nevada. Would be hard to corrupt him but it's best to have more separate companies to ensure there is choice.
