This guy would rather see a three piece suit wearing politician speak eloquently while selling out U.S.A interests and prosperity, than someone who speaks less eloquently but serves the interests of the American people(trade, tariffs, lack of M.E conflict). TDS wrecked this guy fiercely but the same can be said of Dan Carlin to a degree, i used to like his podcast too.
They're all similar, they want the veneer of respectability and don't care whats behind it, but as many of us on this beautiful site see, these lifetime politicians are 'painted rust'.

Holy fucking shit this.
I've taken to explaining to people about "the see-saw"
On one side, you have their desire to have a candidate that makes them feel good rather than Trump who, lets face it, can be a bit of an arse. On the other side you have their desire to stop forcing Middle Eastern kids to watch their parents get blown up by bombs, or those parents watching their kids bleed to death from multiple bullet holes.
Then just explain that they have to weigh up the desires themselves and decide. It's actually remarkably effective
I don't remember who said it, but I know I read it here: it's not a beauty pageant; it's platform, policy, and performance.
I loved that way of putting it. I don't want pretty, but vapid and shallow, candidates paraded before me to display their likability and some stupid talent. I want results. I want my interests paid attention to.
