Another one of my big respects towards them is that they have a lot of honor in their culture, from what I’ve read and understood. If you get jumped and you’re with Sikh buddies, they’ll throw down with zero hesitation. Them and the Gurkhas are pretty tied in terms of FAAFO culture.
Any woman can enter a Gurdwara (Sikh temple), no area is exempt.
Women can serve as granthi (ceremonial reader of the Sri Guru Granth Sahib, the holy book in Sikhism).
Women and girls have full rights to any hereditary claim (unlike in Islam, where they can only inherit half of what a man inherits).
Education for both women and men is very important in Sikhism.
The same simple dress codes apply to both women and men (Guru Granth Sahib, p.16).
Woman are specifically told not to hide themselves: “It is not proper for a Sikh woman to wear a veil or keep her face hidden by veil or cover.” (Sikh Code of Conduct, Article XVI)
These were all extraordinary values to emerge in the 15th century in what is present-day Pakistan.
21 Royal British Army Sikhs vs 14000 Afghan invaders. Were told they would not be reinforced. Held their post long enough for nearby forts to muster a defense.
Enemy admitted 600 killed and hundreds more casualties. May very well have been more.
India has suffered greatly at the hands of Islam and stood against them valiantly. Now they are the only regional challenge to China as well.
Very informative, thanks. From the little I've read I get the impression that Sikhism puts much less emphasis on metaphysics (contra Hinduism) and much more on moral conduct. Am I not too far off on that?
I went to one of their things (Gurdwara?) once, on a "Multicultural" trip in college, and after a day where I felt sorry for the idolators feeding the various gods that live in their cars and everything, where I felt angry at the guys gathered outside their place of worship in support of the 9/11 attacks (They were fucking celebrating on the rooftops, I FUCKING SAW IT, JUST LIKE OUR PRESIDENT DID,) and feeling underwhelmed at the guys who sit and think until they fall asleep, while trying to be content without possessions... I have to say, I was very, VERY impressed with these guys who I had never heard of before, who were basically like "Hey, come on in, want some food? We're having a congregation dinner tonight, and when we heard you were on this trip, we made enough for everyone. Check it out, this is what we believe, this is how we're similar to what you all believe, and a part of our religion is to always carry a weapon to defend ourselves in case we get jumped by a fucking Muslim."
I'd gladly trade every fucking Mohammadan in the country for ONE Sikh. Or for ALL the Sikhs. Whichever makes the Sikhs seem worth more.
The Muslims did a number on the Buddhists. Beginning in the 13th century they slaughtered them, destroyed their temples, sanctuaries and monasteries, and drove them out of their stronghold (northeastern India); many went south, others ended up in Tibet and Nepal. Others were chased down and forced to convert. (The Uighurs, e.g., who are now being forced to convert again--this time to Communism.)
Honest question. Sikhs drink right? Cuz I feel like given their history, they would avoid being in an impaired state in the event the religion of peace shows up.
Sikhs drink a lot, I have several friends who wear turbans and drink and you can just see a song/movie. In India the largest drinking cup is called a patiala peg. Patiala being a city in Punjab where the population is mostly Sikh
I have never had a problem with a Sikh. I play basketball with a few of them and they are the most friendly and respective players I've played with. They made me feel very welcome when playing with their group of Sikhs.
Sikhs are pretty based in general. Even when I lived in the Bay Area, they were more than educated about the kind of shit that leftism brings.

They are also egalitarian with regard to women:

Sikhism has the Golden Floating Temple in Northern India right? I can't remember that much, but I'm pretty sure that tidbit is correct.
It just looks like it is floating. It's the Golden Temple in Amritsar, India.
They are from a place where they have to deal with Naxalites.
Firearms get attention but those big ass swords are frightening af.
BigAssSwordsForTrump
I love a good handlebar and turban. Don’t know why but I’ve always thought it was cool.
I wonder if in a few hundred years Sikhs will carry a ceremonial AR15 to defend the innocent, like they did with their kirpan 500 years ago.
Based allies. Great trigger disciple. 10/10 would have a beer with.
Honest question. Sikhs drink right? Cuz I feel like given their history, they would avoid being in an impaired state in the event the religion of peace shows up.
Alcohol and drugs are forbidden to Sikhs.

Guns N' Turbans would be a sweet Sikh metal band name.
Sikh and tired of the corruption.
These are a few of my favourite singhs

Sikhs are based, they always carry around a blade too, just in case the muzzies attack.
I have never had a problem with a Sikh. I play basketball with a few of them and they are the most friendly and respective players I've played with. They made me feel very welcome when playing with their group of Sikhs.

Love that dudes `stach on the left!
I love Sikhs!
There's Sikh that runs a fruit shop near my house, and the guy goes all out with a different color turban every single day.
I think I've seen every shade of every color humanly possible on his head lol
I love him!
Great stache!
FUCK YES!!! LOCKED AND LOADED MUTHAFUCKAS!!!
If anyone hates inequality it’s Sikhs.
My favorite thing about Sikhs is they understand the value of self defense and the evil that exists in the world.
Top moustache 👍
Nice trigger discipline.
Sikh Pede here! Hi!
Thank you! Come again!
That gun say he’s not joking!
Damn I wish I could sport a mustache like that!
That’s Sikh yo
not Muslims at all Sikhs are the lost tribe of Ireland
I don’t think he is calling Sikhs Muslims, I believe he is referring to the history of Sikhs battling Muslims
i worked it out after i posted lol
I like that dude's S&W, good choice.
That dude’s mustache + huge smile + Glock = FAAFO
Love our Sikhs but they aren't Muslim. Different religion. 😊

Anyone who practices islam, or any religion pertaining to the god of abraham, are nothing more than literal sacks of shit.
