Unfortunately I think youre right. Hopefully these attacks along with COVID will wake them up and allow the Conservative congress to pass some anti-immigration legislation. the French youth need to stand up too. Diversity is fine and dandy but it requires a trickle effect to be effective. Dumping huge masses of people into a culture isn't going to allow them to assimilate . They will simply keep their own culture and destroy the current one.
