I hate fracking because of how it destroys the water acquifers for all the surrounding rural communities-a real environmental problem (as opposed to "muh climate").... so I differ with the president on this. Still energy independence is significant (though I think it's really oil that's needed.... fracking for natural gas doesn't contribute that much imo).
We farmed over 800 acres and had 6 wells. No problems what so ever. NONE. And we had it checked over and over and we also had cows grazing in those pastures.
We farmed but we had fracked wells on our land. Never any problems. we have fracked wells all around us now (retired from farming) and still no problems. Never had any problems with our water either. I don't know how the shit things got started with "fracking bad". Perhaps maybe not an up and up company but for the most part, fracking is not bad.
