So where I live, a few blocks away they recently put a homeless shelter in a hotel in the middle of a family neighbourhood and beside 3 schools (I'm all for helping the homeless but it turns out most of these people were criminals let out of jail due to covid). So over the last few months, there have been numerous attacks in the area, women harassed, needles and feces everywhere etc. I can no longer walk home alone along the area due to fear.

We need more low income housing especially with years long wait lists and people losing everything during lockdowns. Rents are insane in many areas. We just need to carefully screen the potential occupants.
