Collins was the only Republican Senator to have voted against ACB. I don't think Maine Republicans are going to support her this Tuesday. I suspect that as of January of 2021, she'll be known as former Senator Susan Collins.

Was thinking about this earlier. If her vote would have made the difference, I bet she would have done it. But, since they didn't need her vote, she may have spoken with McConnell and agreed to this because her constituency in Maine would have been more favorable for re-election. I'm just speculating. But, we need her in office. I do not want Schumer in control.

I hear what you're saying but if she's deciding on the Dems side all the time (which I think she does) how is that any different than having an actual Dem senator instead? I hate rinos.

She doesn't always vote with the Dems. For example, her vote was CRITICAL on Kavanaugh. With that said, I'm no fan of hers and I totally get what you're saying, but the time to take her out is in the primary, not when she is going against the Dem candidate. We need to keep the Senate. that's priority #1. We missed our opportunity of replacing her. Now, it's about keeping McConnell so we can confirm more judges and prevent an impeachment conviction, which would remove the President from office.

Agree.

I agree on judges. No more judges if we lose the senate. Impeachment requires a 2/3 vote so you would have to flip at least 10 republicans in a worse case scenario.

Whether she's a RINO or a RMAGA doesn't matter to whether the R's maintain the Senate majority.

The time to fight that battle is in the primary, sadly.

Right now you are faced with two admittedly regrettable but nevertheless distinguishable outcomes, one where you still have a Senate majority with Collins and one where you might not have either.

She probably did to get some independents on her side.

She did, however, cast a deciding vote for Kavanaugh

Why are people in Maine such hippy commie retards? The most legitimately Marxist person I know is from there.

Many Maine-iacs are independent, commune-dwelling, potato-growing dopes. President Trump won one of that state's 4 Electoral College votes in 2016. And President Trump only missed out on winning that state outright by just about 42K votes. So let those Maine-iacs live out their weird lives. But I'd love President Trump to sweep all four Maine Electoral College votes this year -- that could happen. Honestly and based on their own campaign messaging, how could anyone consider supporting the PeePads/KneePads campaign on Tuesday? Following their losing effort, the DNC Autopsy of the Biden/Harris effort will show that the number one reason for their voters' support will be that Biden is not Trump. And that very weak reasoning will prove to be insufficiently compelling to defeat President Trump.

Even though she's going left she has to win because no other republican is running against her. We need her to represent us in the senate. She said she didn't vote for ACB because it was too close to the election maybe that's true maybe not but she didn't vote for Trump's impeachment.
