We laugh at Biden's garden event with circles drawn on the ground, the real flaw was the team never arranged to hype the event, and there is was no room for overflow if there is a crowd. Similarly, Joe's bus tour should be preceeded with a bunch of advance teams so it looks like each stop he makes has a bigger crowd. Even arranging with local hardcore Dems could have done this, but the BIden campaign team never corrects this type of mistakes from day 1 to now. Say what you will about the establishment Republicans like Bush or Romney, this kind of sloppy campaigning would not stand even for their phone bank operations.
I bet the "personal handlers" team never talks to the "public facing" team, so they never get the messaging right, never get the timing right, bad venue planning, advance team never promote the events locally... etc. Just a bunch of cellphone jockeys having imaginary command of the situation and get surprised on the ground again and again. And once the bad mood sets in the fragile snowflakes don't talk to each other because that would be personal and confrontational.
There was one time I ever saw Biden with anything resembling a crowd, and it was right after the first debate when Trump was diagnosed with COVID. He did some kind of a thing in PA or DE or something and there was a decently sizable crowd, like a few hundred people there. And I thought, maybe with Trump on the bench for a few days, maybe this is the start to Biden making a big surge and getting a lot of support. Nope. Hasn't had more than a few dozen people since.
