I hope nothing happens but if he gets convicted something better go down. We can't accept a patriot who completely followed the law in self defense to become a political prisoner. We have to be there for our own otherwise this movement is over.

I agree. Let's let the law run its course. Trump shouldn't interfere until a conviction is made. If we live in a just world, he'll walk. Trump can give him a pardon and crush some heads if they dare to put him in prison for this.
The process itself is a form of punishment, and Kyle should be well rewarded for what he's been through. Once he's found innocent in a court of law - without a pardon - it will set the precedent so that future self-defenders don't have to be dragged through the courts. If he's convicted and isn't immediately pardoned, then it's 17:76 o'clock because the state just made self-defense illegal. The video evidence in this case is overwhelming, and the right to self-defense is nullified by neither a misdemeanor nor the intent to protest shared by every other person present that night.
even TRUMP can not pardon kyle for state crimes. he may only issue pardons for federal crimes. let's just hope kyle walks on everything, as he should!

As long as every dollar and minute taken from his family is taken from those who stole it. Death penalty for everyone involved, assets and pensions redirected to him.
I love Kyle, but law abiding citizens end up in jail for self defense ALL THE TIME. This is not a novel thing. Maybe Kyle will be the straw that broke the camel's back.

Agreed. Given the amount of evidence and even witness testimonies exonerating Kyle and condemning Rosenbaum as the aggressor, it seems very unlikely any jury would convict him. You manage to convince a jury that Rosenbaum was the aggressor and the other two shooting become tragic misunderstandings. Kyle had the right to self-defense even if the people attacking him had the noblest of intentions, but that's not bloody likely.
Honestly, they might know this case is a bust and Kyle will walk free. However, they might also fear releasing the verdict while political tensions are so high and black block terrorists are poised to burn Kenosha to the ground. You can imagine what would happen. The Kenosha Kid goes free. The out-of-town rioters come back with a vengeance, but all the business owners protecting their livelihoods just watched the shooter from the last riot walk free... scary stuff.
Yeah, this is definitely unfair to Kyle, but they might be trying to make the best of a truly shit situation, but again, not bloody likely.

The way bond works is it's held until the completion of trial to ensure you show up. As long as you show up and things conclude without you ditching, you get the money back.
Which leads to a valid point...what happens to the donated money after Kyle shows up for the whole process and it gets refunded? I feel like it should go into a trust fund to be used for future Kyle's who need bail.
