What value add in the billions (trillions?) do they provide?
Remember The FED can wreck that. Yellen came in once and destroyed on of my positions from up 300% (Net) to <poof>. The old saying "never fight The FED" well I like to also remind, "Never be in a position where The FED can fight you."

Data is leverage, data is essentially modern day ability to blackmail
They don't even need dirt on you, manipulation is just as good.
They can control what you see and seeing is believing for most.
