I don't think the defense team has much control over the initially set bail amount, but I think they should be challenging the unreasonable bail. Even if Kyle is freed, you'd probably need another $100k for security and housing.

They purposefully set the bail to be higher than the funds raised because it's going to be kangaroo court.
