A Trump victory will end the party as it exists today.
In 1988 after getting their butts spanked in the race for the Oval for a long time, a splinter group, the DLC, split off from the mainline Democratic party and finally got 8 years of Bill Clinton in 1992.
The DLC members were Democrats who went towards the right, more towards the center. Later on, the DLC was absorbed back in, and the records were stored by ... ready for this .... The Clinton Foundation.
The Democrats probably won't have their stuff together for 2024, but by 2028 they may have nuts like AOC purged from the mainstream of the party and dinosaurs like Pelosi and Feinstein will have retired. They may be a challenge then, but some of their more offensive positions and politicians may be out of the forefront.
But Trump has to win, so Vote if you haven't already.
