It's just the current fashion trend. There have even been trends with piercings; in the late '90s and early 2000, tons of girls got an eyebrow ring or tongue ring, and a tramp stamp (lower back tattoo); now you see girls with the single "Monroe" piercing above their upper lip, and they get a skank flank (tattoo on the side of their torso, or their leg), and now tattoos of words or even paragraphs are a big trend now as well...but these trends will give way to other ones just as fashions change with every generation...
That’s precisely why I don’t like girls with tattoos. It’s a fad but they decided that they needed to spend the rest of their life with it on their body anyways.
I mean, we’re pretty much all conservatives, you shouldn’t be surprised. And for the record, I think they look stupid on men too, it’s just that I’m not attracted to mens bodies so it isn’t really something I think about too much.
It's natural for men to be attracted to women with long hair and clean skin; they're signs of a healthy mate. Short, strangely colored hair and blotchy skin go directly against natural instincts.
You might as well ask why men aren't attracted to flat chested women with no hips and a flat butt
While I do respect a person's decision to decorate their body as they see fit, I don't care much for them, especially on women....small unobtrusive ones are ok, but big garish ones are just blech. My opinion of course, so I don't look down on those who have them, I just don't like the aesthetic. Reminds me of junkies and sailors.
On the cultural side, many think that it shows poor judgement and inability to reject silly impulses....not good things for a potential mother of your children.
Like i said, get tats if you want...your decision.
I always love the paragraph tats. They're always smeared and in some tiny cursive font that makes them illegible. It's a fad, but a permanent one. Now we see all these post-Wall women with their old, faded tramp stamps every time they bend over.
A dude I used to work with got divorced by his wife because he got a full back tattoo of two anime girls in gstrings and huge boobs fighting, with the anime girls styled after the whole
“Sexy angel vs sexy demon” theme lol.
Yeah that sounds like an awful tattoo and seems like a big decision to make without the wife on board. Guy sounds like a moron lol
Probably didn't help they had car payment and bills / needs around the house and the guy wasted $1000 on some back tattoo (depending on the size, coloring and artists skill)
He spent like 4K on the back piece lol. He never said it, but I think he became really ashamed of the tatt. He hated talking about it and never showed anyone after the first few weeks he got it.
Maybe it’s because I’m in my mid 30s and so is my wife, but I’m a much bigger fan of the tattoo trends of the 90s and 2000s. They were aesthetically placed and arm tattoos on a woman were just about unheard of. Now women treat their body like a bumper sticker-loving Volvo owner. Just a hodge podge of random tattoos with no rhyme or reason, no even spacing, no theme, just looks like trash. And arm tattoos on women have always looked trashy.
I hear ya, 90s tattoos just seemed more classic and made more sense. Now it's just as you said, women getting tats everywhere and anywhere and they look all mashed together and random. Maybe we are just getting, like our generation that grew up in 80s, 90s and early 2000s. Honestly, the 90s seems like a paradise of fun and reason compared to today.

Permanent commitment to a passing fad.

Just a reminder for anyone reading... Don't be a trend follower, that's how this country got in this mess!

That skull with wings on the bottom left is just a tragedy, such a beautiful woman with such a horrific stain marring that beauty.
