Fashion should be temporary, correctable, and responsive to changes. These virtually permanent decorations are ill advised. Men going into war? Sure, get it. A design you picked out of binder or an Instagram feed? Featuring a skull and a big hat and wings across the chest?
If I were to bet, my guess is that most, if not all, of these lady pedes have checked the box of going into war or are in the service with the potential to.
No, odds are highly unlikely any woman is a combat vet or seeks that role out so guessing as if that’s remotely common would not be a good wager. While the odds go up when considering men, it’s still not the case that majority of guys posing with guns and tattoos are warriors.
Now I know plenty of military personnel sport tattoos nowadays, but my respect for mil service doesn’t mean I have to think highly of ink or alcohol abuse or infidelity or any number of social ills all too common. I don’t just know this as an observer or reader of studies. Navy brat, father active duty 30 years, and then continued on as a civilian (he could have made more doing other work, think contracting/lobbying). The Navy’s lax discipline this century has been horrible. Officers and enlisted taking bribes to disclose information, playing with items of Adm. Nimitz with foreign hookers, elite warriors who have murdered men in uniform to cover up crimes, surrender to Iranians and prompt crying and spilling of guts, a transsexual traitor released early, ship collisions that in one case involved women in a feud not communicating, and this summer the loss of a 3 Billion $ ship due to a traitor.
Now our President has done a great job of rebuilding after Obama’s time, but work remains. Yet another reason it’s so vital to re-elect Donald J Trump! He will fight for the funding, the support, avoiding pointless wars, and making sure the military’s leadership gets back to the core mission.
