That thread looks yellow to me. Natural kevlar? Or is that just because of the incandescent light?

Kevlar thread is so easy to get now, I use it pretty much exclusively for my heavy duty sewing needs - mostly making holster supporting belts by sandwiching a length of tool steel boning between two layers of milsurp cotton webbing.
