It’s got its problems like every major city, but most areas I feel super safe, it isn’t a concrete jungle (nice hills everywhere). Skip LA (total third world bamboo hut shithole) and go to SD instead.
Lots of parts of Orange County are the same way. Too bad we're turning blue at a scary rate. If I could find a job in Texas, I'd be outta here so fast.
I've only been to SD, not LA or SF, but it was NOTHING like I imagined. I didn't expect it to be as clean and beautiful as it was. Balboa Park is gorgeous.
I didn't feel unsafe while there, but then again, I was only in the USS Midway area, the Balboa Park area, and the Ship Museum area, so I was in touristy areas.
I was there, downtown, for five years, it's no doubt the best big city in CA but overall it has become a lot worse of the last two years. Homeless everyone shitting, pissing, begging, harassing, etc. Everything smells like shit and sour milk. When the brainwashed idiots started rioting back in the spring, it pushed me over the edge and I used half of my Trump Bux to leave, that along with the lock down face diaper nonsense.
Don’t forget the Sierra foothills! State of Jefferson country. Huge Trump Truck Train pouring down highway 50 into Sacramento as I type. Crowds on every overpass waving flags.

100% I drove by about 30 people on the side of the road holding signs and flags yesterday in Santee. We might have a chance to flip California this time around.

Loved SD when I was stationed there. LA county fucking sucks. When we visit SoCal we stay in the Malibu / Ventura / Santa Barbara area.
