To us physicians, there is only one thing more cringe than non-ironically putting “MD” at the end of a username. And that is putting “Dr” in the front of the username and “MD” at the end. Like bookends.

It denotes someone who likely graduated ranked last in their medical school, and whose sole claim to any legitimacy or consideration is some degree, and not skill or ability.
