San Marcos police said the Biden-Harris bus requested a police escort, but due to excessive traffic officers were not able to catch the bus before it left the jurisdiction.
The police department also said it has researched the crash and watched online video. It said the “at-fault vehicle” may be the Biden-Harris staffer’s car, while the “victim” appears to be one of the Trump vehicles.
“The at-fault vehicle may be the white SUV and the victim appears to be the black truck,” a statement from SMPD reads.
“Calls to the driver of the white SUV have gone unanswered and SMPD has not been contacted by the driver of the black truck. Since SMPD has not spoken to either driver at this time, additional investigation would be required to fully ascertain who was at fault.”
The white SUV has California plates. I suspect they made a "run for the border".

You’re not allowed to forcibly merge into someone you know full well is there. The pace of it clearly indicated they were trying to force them out. You’re not allowed to do that.
It started with the white SUV straddling the line behind the bus, in the 2 right lanes.
Then, the white SUV moved left into the center lane, forcing a white truck into the left lane.
In the right lane, the black truck pulled beside the white SUV. In fairness, BOTH were tailgating at this point.
The white SUV signaled right and tried to move into the right lane. In California, it might be acceptable to signal, change lanes, and expect everyone else to yield. But in Texas, that's illegal -- it's called "failure to yield right of way".
The moment of impact hasn't been on any video that I've seen. But, I think the white SUV "bumped" the black truck while trying to force him onto the shoulder, and the driver of the black truck thought: "enough of this shit".
There is also video of the bus driver trying to force over another truck on the left side. You can see the bus cross the line and hear the truck honking at him.

I live in the area and it is definitely real. This same group has also done a lot of other less than reputable things that didn't go over well with the people of the city. For example one of them had a BLM shirt attached to the rear bumper of their truck and drove it around town. Even if you hate BLM this not the kind of messaging you want to send. They protested several restaurants in a tourist area complaining about mask mandates when they should have been downtown in front of city hall instead. Unfortunately not every Trump supporter makes good decisions.
