These good for home defense. Need something smaller and easier to handle for my wife. I was thinking something like this or like an A.R. pistol 9 mm

I'm not sure. Its a 9mm platform. It has a little kick but nothing bad. Integrated flip up iron sights. Im sure you could find a laser for it or a light. It uses glock mags. My home defense is a UTS 15 12ga shotgun. The girlfriend absolutely loves. This is just a nice back up.
