You just don’t wear it and nobody says anything and the police don’t get involved and it’s all scare tactics.

Very very rarely you may be asked about a mask, just remain polite and say no thanks or ignore them. Personally I wouldn’t want to give my money to any business that asked me in a way where it was clear completing a transaction was dependent on me putting a mask on, so I leave.

It happened once in July, and surprisingly yesterday after I mentioned how no one says anything to someone else on TD lol. The grilled cheese place in Mandarin Jacksonville is in my Never Patron list now.

But trust me 99.99% of the time you won’t even be talked to about a mask. If you don’t wanna wear one, you don’t have to!

Edit: it’s important to mention I lived in Oregon until October 1st and its “law” we wear one inside and outside. Only Firestone insisted anything. The rest were just stares, but mostly people scared holding their breath or walking away like I had the plague lol

That’s definitely not the case where I live. I’ve tried and have seen many others try and we are always told that we need to have a mask on as soon as we walk in without one. I’ve tried ignoring them but they will follow you around.

For those in blue states, always wear a mask... while walking past door guard. Remove it once in the aisles. Put it back on for checkout. Helps people see faces. Avoids any confrontation. Confrontation leads to more enforcement. Don't create trouble. Be strategic.

The problem is that people will complain about it where I am. I’m in the DC area where everyone has ridiculous levels of trust in government bureaucrats and the media. I’m literally shopping with the people that we refer to as The Swamp and the Deep State.

Sounds like the nightmare I'm living (Philly suburbs).

How many times have you tried? If you just do it 100%, you’ll find them do nothing about it far greater than when they do. You may have just got unlucky when you did try.

Didn't help me. I got kicked out and banned from my local Giant when I went in sans mask, claiming a medical condition. The manager called the cops to escort me out, and even made up some bull about how she'd talked to me before about not wearing a mask in the store despite it being only the second time I'd been in that store without a mask, and no one even approached me about it the first time.

With that said, it probably depends on your state laws how anal people will be about it. I guess here in MD, a lot of folks are tight-assed.

Ugh. MD pede here. Most of the times I have to go shopping is with my kids. I wear one, but I don't put masks on my kids. I feel bad for the kids in public school that have neurotic lefty parents too. Homeschooling is great- we can actually breathe oxygen all day!

I tell them I'm a muslim and no muslim man would cover his face like a woman. Then I bask in the shower of sparks as NPC brains short circuit all around me.

I've only had to do it twice, but it was pretty tight both times.
