Aside from the Bible (KJV), which can be too intense for little ears depending on the passage, Aesop's Fables are very good:

For reference, Trump's snake poem is actually Aesop's The Farmer & The Snake fable.

Avoid the more modern Aesop interpretations, the closer to the original, the better. These too can be a bit intense so screen and edit as needed.

The takeaway is that the concepts of morality and consequence are crucial pillars in your child's healthy development. Yes, there are severe outcomes in some of these stories. Your kids will be a bit afraid. This is a good thing.

Just make sure to supplement the stories with real world examples, and plenty of counter examples of good outcomes. And always tons of love and support.

Pedes, I can tell you, without a doubt, our next generation of kids that we raised with principles and discipline, will absolutely dominate the future. The regressive left are raising a generation of failures.

Hopefully our kids will figure out how to deal with them gracefully.

All these tips from this awesome community makes me excited to have kids one day. Old me from 5 years ago would pinch herself if we ever met lol. I used to never want kids.

We worked our butts off in our 20s, lived/worked in Europe, saved to get married and built a house in the US. We’ve always wanted kids but we’ve tried for two years and now have to start with professional fertility intervention.

All I can say is don’t wait, OR if you’re going to, then do fertility testing ahead of time to understand what your situation is. I would love to “whip em out” (seriously) but it’s overwhelmingly more common that it’s not as easy as it should be. I would give anything for us to start a family so please just don’t take it for granted.

Don't give up. I went the fertility assistance route and was blessed with twins. Greatest thing that ever happened to me. My beautiful sons are now 29 years old.
