Just remember to eat enough- always eat when you are hungry and eat until you are "can't eat another bite" full. Let your body heal itself. I recommend the facecrack page Zeroing in on Health. Many zero carb veterans there (10 years zc)
I have been now over 2 years. But I know people who are 20 years carnivore. The thing is, your tastes change. At the start I told my husband I would starve without my pasta lol. But I did one month low carb- no sugar, very little bread, got rid of the pasta. I did about 30 carbs or less per day. then I did just the meat. But I eat all sorts of meats and seafood, fish, cream in coffee, sometimes cheese, etc. Your tastes really change and then you can smell how the carby stuff really smells and it is disgusting! down the grocery aisles all you smell is terrible smell of seed oils and sugar. It is really vile. I thought for sure I would be bored, but really it is amazing. I got rid of my arthritis and eczema, no random itchy back or athletes foot ever and so many other benefits, most especially brain chatter and brain fog. Mosquitos almost never bite, and when they do, 10 minutes later it is gone. It is truly amazing.
Wait so I could have heavy cream and maybe some cheese also? I'm already bored out of my mind (day 6) and on a budget where I can't afford awesome steaks, so I am making do with stuff like eggs, bacon, sausages, 70/30 ground beef, liver, pork, and pork rinds...my cheat was chewing on 4 frozen blueberries and then spitting them in the trash. :(
I make whatever is on sale. we eat a lot of bacon. it isn't cheap, like ground beef but it is very good lol. I make plenty of pork chops, cooked in the pan with plenty of butter, sage and salt and pepper. I find it on sale for less than $1.50 lb. I make fish also. cook burgers on the grill. Put cheese on your burgers. make a big pile of burger, bacon and cheese. I eat chicken livers cooked with bacon. I'll buy split chicken breast and roast or broil them. I think the reason you are bored is because it is early days yet. It takes a little time for your taste buds to change and the food become more satisfying. Don't take refuge in cheese/dairy too much though. The reason your brain is rebelling somewhat is because sugar/carbs are a very insidious addiction. but once you break free, it is awesome.
If you feel like you need to 'cheat' them make yourself something good to eat, like a couple pieces bacon, or have some bone broth. the most common mistake people make is not eating enough.

Dude...10 years zero carb? What do you have the will of a superhuman or what? You never miss bread or pizza or chocolate or anything...?
At best I've done a month on strict keto.
