usajobs dot gov is a good resource also another is just look for mil-contractors looking for civilian resources as well some might require certain clearance levels but I did a contract for the IRS years ago and had no issue, they just to an extensive background and you get fingerprinted.

Did you notice how no one is even campaigning in Virginia? It was considered a major swing state just 4 years ago, and a red state pre-2008. The reason is that the federal government has expanded so much that DC employees started occupying all of the former farmland in Northern Virginia. NoVA is now a massive metropolis that controls the entire vote of Virginia in every election. And it will always go 90%+ blue because everyone there is either directly or indirectly involved in the federal government.
I think it was perfect timing. The media and the rest of the dems are at full REEEE right now and nobody could raise much of a fuss since there's already so much noise.
It matches up with the Project Veritas videos where he exposed all the Marxists seeded in the federal government. Some of theme were doing everything they could to interfere with Trump when he wanted to address Obamacare.
I'm glad Trump recently removed protections from federal employees ... now anyone who gets caught doing something like this gets shit-canned at a minimum (hopefully sedition).
