There are going to be a lot of job opportunities in DC during Trump’s 2nd term.

How do I get one of those jobs?

tombombadil 78 points ago +78 / -0

You just apply like any other job. Find something that matches your skill stack and then apply. There is basically a job for everything in DC because our government is so unnecessarily massive.

Edit: they definitely will want you to have an education though. The elitists bureaucrats really look down on people who don’t have degrees.

That's all good. My degree in Applied Gender Studies & White Fragility will allow me to have a well paid government position as privilege checker and non-binary otherkin liaison.

At the far end of the Green Line there is always the DC wastewater treatment plant. Periodically, there is a need for water samplers.

Didn't he sign a EO requiring the government to hire based on skill and experience without requiring a degree? I think it was around July.

Let's give Ivanka some credit guys. Papa Trump made the EO thanks to her. When the swamp is drained and the jobs are open, what matters is your skill, not your degree.

I agree. But like is the case with so many white collar jobs, at least a 4 year degree is required for pretty much all of these openings.

Didn't Trump do something about that education requirement?

Start with usajobs.gov

Be prepared to wait 6-12 months.

Neonentity 9 points ago +9 / -0

Would you like to know more?

2
Scooby721 2 points ago +2 / -0

I would actually, but I took a look at usajobs. Man, I'm just a blur collar guy, I don't think I'll be able to snag a government job in DC.

USAjobs.gov for the application. And Federalsoup.com for tips on the process.

usajobs dot gov is a good resource also another is just look for mil-contractors looking for civilian resources as well some might require certain clearance levels but I did a contract for the IRS years ago and had no issue, they just to an extensive background and you get fingerprinted.

We need to move these federal agencies out of the DC area. There is nothing but leftist in DC. That is their entire labor force. Move them to Nebraska.

If you move the agencies they have way closer geographical distance to do nefarious things like gun confiscation.

And they’ll poison the voter pool. Keep them in DC.

tombombadil 4 points ago +4 / -0

Then you’ll just have an Uber leftist Nebraska lol

Did you notice how no one is even campaigning in Virginia? It was considered a major swing state just 4 years ago, and a red state pre-2008. The reason is that the federal government has expanded so much that DC employees started occupying all of the former farmland in Northern Virginia. NoVA is now a massive metropolis that controls the entire vote of Virginia in every election. And it will always go 90%+ blue because everyone there is either directly or indirectly involved in the federal government.

You think leftists will move to Nebraska? You don’t know the liberal elite.

1
tombombadil 1 point ago +1 / -0

Yes. They will move to wherever they have power. This isn’t that hard to understand.

EdisonHwy 2 points ago +2 / -0

Western Nebraska please

a lot of job opportunities in DC

I hope not. We want to drain the swamp.

Not drain it and refill it again.

Scroon 21 points ago +21 / -0

This. Fire them and collapse the bureaucracy at the same time.

jacquire14 6 points ago +6 / -0

Smaller government. No government jobs (freeloaders).

Batman 6 points ago +6 / -0

Hopefully not too many. At most, maybe only fill 20% of the openings and eliminate the rest.
