This is a major sticking point for people I try and express some reality to [yea even to this day, surprised?] and I don't have a solid way of diffusing this issue so I can move the conversation towards the positive points.

The racist/xenophobe/white power allegations are easier to disprove

but that "grab 'em by the p___" comment is hard to argue against without sounding legit sexist to myself

any advice? Has anyone else encountered this specific hurdle when trying to salvage friendships?

They may not be convinced even if I get past that point, but I feel like I have to at least try. If I give up to save friendships, I lose self respect, if not, I lose my last friends. I've already lost many friends since becoming aware that Trump is more Hero than Monster... probably should've joined this site sooner lol

I hear you, unfortunately most of my old friends are feels>facts people and that goes for the general area I live in too sadly. Been thinking hard about moving post election.

Simple.

If Trump's words are enough to disgust women away from voting for him...there's plenty of disgusting abuse surrounding Joe and his family, that anyone still caught up on a Trump brag, if they're being honest (they're not), that they should be so disgusted by both that they can't vote for either.

You may not turn them to Trump, but you can convince them to stay home. That's half a win.

Deferring to Biden didn't work/last haha, I did try

Then you're not dealing with someone whose being honest.

If a man saying disgusting things yeats ago causes you to want a Marxist revolution in America, open borders and free Healthcare for anyone who can get here...all paid by your tax dollars....

Then it's not about the locker talk. They want America destroyed. Tell them THAT!

Lol that would be a new tactic for sure The problem is really trying to convince someone with their head a bit up their ass, that their head is up their ass and they need to come out for a minute

I’m a girl and didn’t have a problem with what he said. To me it was said to get a laugh, like locker room talk or one upping each other.

2
luckofthecanuck [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

I lol'd I wish we could all laugh more than take everything so damn personally. This presidency has revealed a lot of true colors and I'm having a hard time adjusting i suppose.

I still lol anytime that quote comes up. If someone can’t laugh at it, turn it around on them. If they say he wasn’t joking, laugh and ask them why they are judging the women. He said the women let you.

And when you're a star, they let you do it. You can do anything. Grab 'em by the pussy. You can do anything>

I assume it’s a liberal who is arguing with you, use their liberal talking points against them. Ask them “Why judge a woman for consenting to sexual interactions? I thought we weren’t supposed to slut shame women??”

Ha! that's pretty brilliant, thank you I'll save that one

My 3 step plan:

1.) “Actions speak louder than words”

2.) start showing montage videos of Biden groping women and children

3.) Win

You don't have to agree or defend everything the president does man. It's okay to say "Yeah that was wrong he shouldn't of said that. He loves our country and is one of the best presidents we've had. His policies are lit af and that's why I'm voting for him." Even leftists can't argue with what the man has done. Personally idgaf. He can pull his pants down on the debate stage and piss on Joe Biden and I'll still vote for him as long as he governs like the God King he is and keeps on trolling the left.

I'm with you, this has just been a point that has come up a lot when I try to dispel the lies. And absolutely, it's their problem they can't get past it to see anything else, like i said, I want to at least try

Tellguy 3 points ago +3 / -0

Use whole quote: "...they let you do it"

That means consent. And tell them some women seem attracted to famous and powerful people. Shocker.

It's more a problem for women than men, "lockerroom talk" wasn't good enough and I know it's most likely a lost cause but I wanna look back and know I tried

Believe me, I know more now than I ever wanted to know, and up until this presidency, my friends not being as interested as I am in knowing more about the world wasn't an issue. It's sad that it had to become an issue and that I wasn't able to help people who are otherwise reasonable, not like hardcore lefties, just normies under MSM programming. I owe it to them to try and break it even if it ends with them dismissing me.

He was making a point about fame, not about being a man in general. Also he doesn't profess doing it personally, it's a hypothetical suggestion to make a point.

Hes a billionaire who was one of the most popular men on the planet. Kamala would be tripping over him for a chance at him grabbing her by the pussy. Most women would. He knew that so made a comment that women would let him do whatever. He didn't say he did anything they didn't want.

Just show them the Willie brown and how Kamala got her start.

aparition42 2 points ago +2 / -0

Have them listen to the whole unedited comment. Every woman I know that actually listened to what the President said agreed with him. Some women are gold diggers that will gladly debase themselves for a pe son with money and fame.

It's a fish story.

Men lie. They lie about the size of fish they caught, they lie about the size of the buck (bear, antelope, moose, elk) they shot, and they especially lie about the number of women they've bedded.

Any Real Man knows all of this, and doesn't believe a word of it. Only pussies believe that any of it ever happened.

Yep, I just didn't realize how far gone my circles were till it was too late.

Are you male or female? If you're a man, I'm sure you've heard worse in locker rooms, shit I've heard worse in lunch rooms. That's just how we talk. It's not like he was in a press conference suited up and dropped that line. He was talking casually and joking around about being rich and famous.

As a God-fearing, happily married father, who has never been a playboy billionaire: that comment was pretty mild compared to things I've said and heard.

2
luckofthecanuck [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

Man, I made this exact point, almost verbatim lol Truth is I'm probably gonna have to find all new friends eventually because I won't sacrifice my principles and it just sucks

Look how many women read 50 Shades of Grey. The male character is a tall handsome, alpha billionaire who completely dominates the female. It's a very common female fantasy. Many romance novels follow the same trope. Fame, money, and status are attractive to women.

Everyone says inappropriate things. Famous people simply get recorded while they do it.

I've had some success with the "glass houses" approach on this one.

wise input, thank you

There is Tara Reade, who was actually grabbed by the pussy, by Joe Biden.

Theres also Bill Clinton, are they willing to denounce him, and by extension Hiilarry for enabling and covering it up? If his transgressions dont reflect on his presidency, then its okay to have Trump in office.

You can also run down the very long list of democrats or media people who were outed durinf the whole metoo.
