Well, I just worked through my mail ballot so I could get it posted. I have to say I can’t see how these mail ballots are going to help the Democrats.
Voting in person is so simple — you show up and the man takes you to a booth, you push some buttons, get a sticker and you’re done.
Completing the mail ballot was like doing your taxes. The instructions were confusing. There were many things you had to do — on your own — correctly. Bubble the right bubbles, sign in multiple places on the ballot and envelope(s), fill in blanks, put the ballot in the right envelope, put that envelope in another envelope. Then you have to figure out where to bring the ballot.
Is an unmotivated voter really going to read through all these instructions and fill out forms? Are the kind of walking stiffs Democrats count on to vote for them really going to reliably complete these ballots correctly?
I suspect these ballots are going to blow up in the Dems’ face.
I work in law, and if I learned nothing else the one thing you should ask for if you get to choose a super hero power or a genie wish is to have the ability to follow directions. It seems so simple but it's literally a heroic, godly power that few people possess.
It will be one of the reasons they blame on losing.
