[Redpill] Plea Deals are not enforcing the law, and in fact are very unconstitutional. The D.A./A.G. etc have no authority to do so. The authority is a judicial branch function, not an executive branch function. If a person pleads guilty, it is the judge/jury who's job it is to sentence the person (and show them mercy/etc.). AND if a person pleads guilty to the court (judge/jury) they DO NOT have to sign away their other rights (such as appeal) to fix injustices done in the case etc.

I’m not a libertarian. Just against heavy government in the market. There are plenty of jobs these truck drivers will be able to have. The tech companies are in desperate need of skilled workers. They pay extremely high wages for even simple coding jobs due to the supply being limited, they hire H1bs because they don’t have the domestic work force here in the USA to do these jobs. Our students are not being taught to be competitive in today’s tech world. Autonomy will only increase demand for these jobs. We need to start teaching our children to be competitive in tech, and we need to adapt. I’m not saying truck drivers need to do something overnight, the transition will be slow and the writing is on the wall.

What you are saying about H1bs is true for most industries...except tech. I have many family members in Silicon Valley, they are part of major companies like Google, linked in, Facebook and others. They truly have trouble finding people for these jobs that are American. My cousin who is born and raised here graduated with a degree in biology which amounted to nothing. He took a few classes learned to code and now makes 180k per year doing simple coding tasks. It’s insane.
We just don’t place an importance on coding on our children. Meanwhile in places like India they are coding at a very early age. Now this problem does get better as the requirement of living in the Bay Area and other centers is dissolving due to more companies allowing to work from home. Many Americans who can code just don’t want to live there. But still we need to adapt, need to educate our children to be more competitive. The writing is on the wall. Heavy government intervention in the market to stifle an entire industry isn’t the answer

We're talking about government subsidies for big business to work on something that so far has nearly insurmountable problems with implementation and astronomical pricing to boot. The free market would never allow automated trucks to take over significantly cheaper and easier to maintain human drivers, unless they can convince the government to subsidize it. Which is how we end up with bs like Amazon. Without government subsidies through the post office Amazon would never have made it out of the red, and brick and mortar stores would still be king. The worlds largest monopoly would never have been born without government inefficiencies creating it via solution in search of a problem.
Don't put the cart before the horse, we have plenty of real world problems in need of solutions, we should not be planning for future solutions to problems that won't exist without the "solution." Without subsidizing the industry, automated trucks with cheaper costs and maintenance will not happen.
If it did manage to happen without government interference, than the million or so truckers who own their own trucks would be able to buy one of these automated trucks that cost less and sit at home while their truck does all the work. But what will really happen is mega corporations like google or amazon will run fleets of these vehicles at a loss in order to drive out competition and beg the government for even more subsidies. Once they have cornered the market, they will have their government subsidy net holding their empire up while they rake in the money and watch the world burn.

I'm making a slightly different point which is the limitation of language and the definition of terms. Everyone is defining terms their own way. The left as well but we can fall into the same trappings. For example, the principle of color blindness, when and where it's executed works differently for me to how others define it.
Colour blindness isn't a literal concept on its own. What it means is that by default you don't see race unless race is to be seen. It would mean that for example if you want a program to reduce air pollution then you focus on who is actually most affected by that. If more black people happen to benefit so be it.
Both the left and right practice colour blindness but for the right it means at different times. The left includes race where it's not appropriate then denies it exists where it is appropriate. Ironically on the latter side they also make things like biological race an issue even when it wouldn't normally be.
When the left refers to colour blindness and complains about it what they mean is that they are racist and want to racialist a situation or issue that need not be and are complaining you won't to the same. It's not really the same as their concept of denial of biology or that race even exists and many other things though it may appear similar.
On their approach to whether race exists or not you'll find it highly contradictory. They will launch a huge crusade to pretend race doesn't exist but you'll then find in practice all their policies takes race into account. At this point these people are psychotically racist. You'll observe the colour blindless of the left is that they don't see white when if it reflects well on them and don't see other races if it might reflect poorly on them. This also applies to basic rights. When it comes to rights then don't see white in relation to that. For example if races have the right not to be discriminated against then they suddenly become colour blind to the white race which somehow wont count.

The practice of colourblindness isn't something you can simply do adhering to the principle as the English definition of the worlds colour and blind either independently or in unison might suggest. I think we should try to expand the nurturing side of the equation so more people can accomplish things and contribute to society even if they weren't born with genius ability. We want to do it in a way that does not dis-incentivize them from working, so it's not giving them things like how people think of welfare. I think it involves changing culture to reward competence and getting their jobs back so they have an opportunity to apply themselves instead of living a second life through entertainment and committing crimes which we pay for anyways. It is better to spend the money upfront towards schools and training.

That commenter describes failing schools which is why they need to be turned around so we don't have to pay half of our taxes to prisons, police, and rehab. These kids do not have families and we can not go back in time and give them families, so the school and community has to step up and guide them away from destructive behavior that is being pushed by culture. If teachers and administrators are not up for it, and if the unions are unreasonable, then they need to be replaced by a network of competent parents and teachers. [Redpill] Plea Deals are not enforcing the law, and in fact are very unconstitutional. The D.A./A.G. etc have no authority to do so. The authority is a judicial branch function, not an executive branch function. If a person pleads guilty, it is the judge/jury who's job it is to sentence the person (and show them mercy/etc.). AND if a person pleads guilty to the court (judge/jury) they DO NOT have to sign away their other rights (such as appeal) to fix injustices done in the case etc.
Since she never applied for US Citizenship, she herself was breaking the law, and illegally holding office, thus nullifying all those plea deals.

I’m not a libertarian. Just against heavy government in the market. There are plenty of jobs these truck drivers will be able to have. The tech companies are in desperate need of skilled workers. They pay extremely high wages for even simple coding jobs due to the supply being limited, they hire H1bs because they don’t have the domestic work force here in the USA to do these jobs. Our students are not being taught to be competitive in today’s tech world. Autonomy will only increase demand for these jobs. We need to start teaching our children to be competitive in tech, and we need to adapt. I’m not saying truck drivers need to do something overnight, the transition will be slow and the writing is on the wall.

They truly have trouble finding people for these jobs that are American. My cousin who is born and raised here graduated with a degree in biology which amounted to nothing. He took a few classes learned to code and now makes 180k per year doing simple coding tasks. It’s insane.
We just don’t place an importance on coding on our children. Meanwhile in places like India they are coding at a very early age. Now this problem does get better as the requirement of living in the Bay Area and other centers is dissolving due to more companies allowing to work from home. Many Americans who can code just don’t want to live there. But still we need to adapt, need to educate our children to be more competitive. The writing is on the wall. Which is how we end up with bs like Amazon. Without government subsidies through the post office Amazon would never have made it out of the red, and brick and mortar stores would still be king. The worlds largest monopoly would never have been born without government inefficiencies creating it via solution in search of a problem.
Don't put the cart before the horse, we have plenty of real world problems in need of solutions, we should not be planning for future solutions to problems that won't exist without the "solution." Without subsidizing the industry, automated trucks with cheaper costs and maintenance will not happen.
If it did manage to happen without government interference, than the million or so truckers who own their own trucks would be able to buy one of these automated trucks that cost less and sit at home while their truck does all the work. But what will really happen is mega corporations like google or amazon will run fleets of these vehicles at a loss in order to drive out competition and beg the government for even more subsidies. Once they have cornered the market, they will have their government subsidy net holding their empire up while they rake in the money and watch the world burn.

I'm making a slightly different point which is the limitation of language and the definition of terms. Everyone is defining terms their own way. The left as well but we can fall into the same trappings. For example, the principle of color blindness, when and where it's executed works differently for me to how others define it.
Colour blindness isn't a literal concept on its own. What it means is that by default you don't see race unless race is to be seen. It would mean that for example if you want a program to reduce air pollution then you focus on who is actually most affected by that. If more black people happen to benefit so be it.
Both the left and right practice colour blindness but for the right it means at different times. The left includes race where it's not appropriate then denies it exists where it is appropriate. Ironically on the latter side they also make things like biological race an issue even when it wouldn't normally be.
When the left refers to colour blindness and complains about it what they mean is that they are racist and want to racialist a situation or issue that need not be and are complaining you won't to the same. It's not really the same as their concept of denial of biology or that race even exists and many other things though it may appear similar.
On their approach to whether race exists or not you'll find it highly contradictory. They will launch a huge crusade to pretend race doesn't exist but you'll then find in practice all their policies takes race into account. At this point these people are psychotically racist. You'll observe the colour blindless of the left is that they don't see white when if it reflects well on them and don't see other races if it might reflect poorly on them. This also applies to basic rights. When it comes to rights then don't see white in relation to that. For example if races have the right not to be discriminated against then they suddenly become colour blind to the white race which somehow wont count.

I think it involves changing culture to reward competence and getting their jobs back so they have an opportunity to apply themselves instead of living a second life through entertainment and committing crimes which we pay for anyways. It is better to spend the money upfront towards schools and training.

That commenter describes failing schools which is why they need to be turned around so we don't have to pay half of our taxes to prisons, police, and rehab. We can actually fix the schools without spending more money and it's a double win because they live productive lives for themselves and they can also contribute to society instead of being a burden on society. It involves teaching discipline and explaining tough love like a family would do. These kids do not have families and we can not go back in time and give them families, so the school and community has to step up and guide them away from destructive behavior that is being pushed by culture. We also need to improve the curriculum so it teaches real things and not how to be a victim and blame others. If teachers and administrators are not up for it, and if the unions are unreasonable, then they need to be replaced by a network of competent parents and teachers. It's not communism because these reforms don't cost anything on net, even though it falls on responsible people to spend time fixing the problems because we pay more when we turn a blind eye to them. It's also not unique to black people like the commenter implied. The failing white schools near me have all the same problems, which is not surprising.
