heinz 57 is basically ketchup and worchestershire sauce, which imo is one of the better non-gourmet sauces to put on a steak. so the "ketchup on a steak is gross" thing is dumb and just part of the whole chef worshipping foodie culture idiocy.
same thing with the idea that steaks must be cooked medium rare. why do they ask you if it's only supposed to be cooked one way? the whole thing is pretentious and moronic.
it's really good on a lot of stuff, really versatile. potatoes, meatloaf, chicken, lots of egg dishes. basically anywhere that one might use ketchup- just use 57 instead and it's an upgrade.
Needs to be well done and with ketchup.
Horseradish baby! Bloody and juicy.
amen on the horseradish.
Mayonnaise was invented for steak, bizarrely enough. Served hot, in a gravy boat.
if you brush a steak with mayo before searing, you get a better crust.
Dang. I’m gonna try that.

Well done and A1.
Nah, it's not the GEOTUS way. Ketchup all day with a well done steak!
