So I'm looking into possibility getting a 1911 after the Election, either for Christmas time or my Birthday next year. Are there any companies that make a budget 1911, like around the $300 to $400 range. Don't really care if it's 45acp or 9mm as I'm down with either, just want something that's not going to break the bank.

Rock Island Armory is probably your best bet for a budget 1911.

Not my first gun, just my first 1911.

Consignment and pawn shops. Look for used.

Save your money for a Kimber or a Springfield. It will be worth it.

80%, I thought that was only for Glocks.

Look at a Tisas or a Rock Island. Go watch some Hickok45 reviews on YouTube. The GI Tisas (from Turkey) might be a good choice.

That's why I'm waiting a little while. Most likely this wouldn't end up being until like January or February of 2021 at the earliest.

I think the Turkish guns are a bit better quality than the Filipino 1911s in that price range.
