"We are in the midst of a cultural revolution, for the most part driven by angry middle-and upper-class white youth of Antifa and its sympathizers, wannabes, and enablers. Many are humiliated that they have college pedigrees, lots of multi thousand-dollar debt, plenty of woke-studies classes to their credit, but still have no real jobs, no real knowledge, and no real immediate chances of buying a house, marrying, and raising a family in their 20s.

Nothing in history is more dangerous than the underemployed wannabe intellectual or college graduate, whose cultivated sense of superiority is not matched by his income or standard of living, but who blames “them” for his own self-inflicted miseries and unappreciated genius."

Cultural Revolutions or kulturkampf are death knells for societies.

Ever wonder why mainland Chinese are greedy, amoral, and without ethics? Mao's cultural revolution encouraged kids to snitch their own parents because they did something wrong to the CCP.

The CCP doesn't raise children, they raised tools to protect the state.

To be fair, she said that's not what she was saying in the article so i think it's important we post links to actual articles so we can read them rather than spreading headlines that may be misleading:

When I said in the indie that children should be regarded as state assets of course I don’t mean the state owns them! The state should invest in the next generation instead of penny pinching. To all the trolls, try reading the whole column before wasting your time trashing me.

That’s EXACTLY what she said. The state shouldn’t invest in our children. They should stop taking the fruits of our labor - our own fucking ability to invest - so we can invest in our OWN CHILDREN

I uptooted you and I agree she is a bit of a retard and I also agree the state need not be involved in the raising of our children but it's important to link to actual articles IMO.

I just know history and apply it to current events.

That was the reason for it being taught anyway.

I agree that they are dangerous, but frankly the people who studied woke studies deserve to be utterly humiliated. They all have egos the size of St. peter's cathedral in Rome and nothing, absolutely nothing these people have accomplished can even begin to justify their arrogance. If they had studied nuclear physics and found themselves pushing a broom at Wal-Mart, that would be humiliation, these people are entitled to nothing. I paid for my education via state tuition waivers and the GI Bill thanks to military service. I chose my degree based on what would get me employed. I have zero debt..why the fuck should I pay them for their life choices. If it were up to me, these dumb asses would have had to pay a 1000 dollar per hour retard surcharge to help society pay for their uselessness. I don't care if they're angry, they need to suffer in silence. I hope they never have kids, i hope they die alcohics while the rest of America passes these punks up. Part of me wishes they would try an all out civil war so we can just shoot them all and be done with it. I hate the woke, participation trophy, millennial generation and their fucking woke studies degrees. They can all eat shit!

That's very true. Parents need to stop being such cucks and say..no I won't pay for that.

2
intellectual-darkweb 2 points ago +2 / -0

Don’t pay period. I just finished paying off student loans, and now consider myself free from the State. My parents couldn’t help with my college - and looking back I’m glad they didn’t. I realized it was better to work full time and finish school as best as I could.

Now I wish I had started businesses and skipped the whole college thing. There are many great paths that lead to a fulfilled life and contribute to society - that don’t require college. I respect my vocational brothers and sisters. The school of hard knocks is probably the best school.

TD_Covfefe_Crusader 2 points ago +2 / -0

This worked for me too, having left home at 17. When I decided to go to college I paid for it myself by working full time and I made damn sure that I got a degree that would get me a better job. I had lots of friends who's parents paid for their art degrees or psychology degrees.

2
TD_Covfefe_Crusader 2 points ago +2 / -0

True, but this has always been the case. I have friends who's parents paid for their worthless degrees back in the 1980s. The biggest problem with college is that people falsely assume that it is a guaranteed ticket to a career, and that has never been the case. People go to college for sake of going to college and then wonder why their high paying job never materializes.

TD_Covfefe_Crusader 1 point ago +1 / -0

Yeah, that pretty much describes most of my friends who went to college right out of high school.

6
Friendly_B 6 points ago +6 / -0

I wish I could go you two upvotes.

I wish I hadn't spent so much of my life being friends with idiots like this.

6
TD_Covfefe_Crusader 6 points ago +6 / -0

What pisses me off the most about these losers is that they falsely claim that a college degree, any college degree, used to be the ticket to a good paying job. They believe that their worthless college degree and loan debt are some new phenomenon caused by boomers, the patriarchy, capitalism, white supremacy, or some other fictional scapegoat.

Bullshit.

Such college degrees have been around for decades. Back in the 1980s we used to mock friends that were majoring in anthropology, psychology, zoology, music, history, etc. because those were not majors that were likely to land you a job with a 4-year degree. I personally know people who graduated with these types of degrees and ended up working blue collar jobs or other careers that didn't even require a college degree. In terms of their careers, their degrees were worthless. Many of them had to pay back college loans as well.

3
SoldierofKek 3 points ago +3 / -0

I agree, and the only reason those people even landed decent jobs was there wasn't mass immigration. It's funny the same pussies who are pissed that they didn't start with a six figure income with their underwater lesbian tap dance degrees are the same cocksuckers chanting "No Trump, No Wall, No USA at all". The only joy i would take in their success in their little commie revolution is the fact that they'd be the first ones to get a bullet after their usefulness is up.

4
doodaddy 4 points ago +4 / -0

If they had studied nuclear physics and found themselves pushing a broom at Wal-Mart, that would be humiliation

You see, I think this group would not be humiliated.

My cousin is the perfect example of this. She has suffered greatly in her life. We all do to some extent, she has just always accepted that Christ would see her through. She doesn't worry and hand wring when things are going wrong as she trusts that Christ will take care of her. And it always happens.

After he fixes America, I want Trump to do speeches around the world promoting the freedom that peaceful nationalism brings. He should meet with major opposition party leaders just to piss people off. We need a strong counter-balance to globalism. (or even regional hegemony which leads to 1984)

The success of civil rights was not to be calibrated by black unemployment figures, household income, family businesses, dignity in having leverage over employers, access to competitive parochial and charter schools, or descending abortion rates, but in electing more activists as progressive mayors, liberal city councilmembers, and leftist district attorneys to garner more redistributive state money to hire more careerists like themselves.

Great post OP, never heard of Victor Davis Hanson but definitely going to be looking into him - he hits a lot on the head here.

VDH is a national treasure. Son of Okies who migrated away from the Dust Bowl to the Fresno area, he is a third generation CA farmer. He has also become one of the world's greatest authorities on Mediterranean History (Greek, Roman, you name it). He is also one of the world's greatest authorities on 20th Century European History.

His books are legendary. His "Uncommon Knowledge" videos are legendary. His speeches are legendary. His weekly newsletter is legendary.

If all we did was listen to VDH and Thomas Sowell (both of the Hoover Institute), we would never have gotten ourselves this far down the Socialist Rabbit Hole.

VDH, that explains a lot. I saw his video on Youtube about the Trump doctrine. This point in particular is very similar to what Thomas Sowell has talked about too.

4
Pepe_in_the_USA 4 points ago +4 / -0

Its a great point, and its clearly demonstrated in the fact that Obama, a black man, was lifted to the highest possible office in the US - and yet race relations and division in the country were arguably driven to the lowest point since the civil rights movement, and the average black person or family was no better off despite 8 years of a black man as President.

Victor Davis Hanson is the man. I discovered him at the beginning of Coronavirus when he did a Hoover Institute video about the situation: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WK43a--m4g0

I couldn't agree more with this article. Disgustingly, I've talked to people (even some family members), and they just don't see it this way. I almost have to chuckle when some claim I have fallen victim to propaganda. ...that propaganda that can be found not on TV, not in K-12 text books, not in movies, not in comic books, not in post-secondary text books, not on Facebook, not on Twitter, not on Youtube, and not on Instagram. Yes, that all-powerful propaganda that does not exist. I had an epiphany a few years back - it is the propaganda that is driving the other side (the "revolutionaries" as VDH put it in the article). They control almost everything now. Our days are numbered if we can not take back at least a couple of the pillars of society from these ideas. Donald Trump is just one man and he can only do so much for so long.

He is Scipio Africanus reborn - taking on the foreign globalist hordes abroad while battling our degenerate and malfeasant elitist mob at home - and somehow still winning against all odds.

4
marvinthehaggler 4 points ago +4 / -0

THIS.

4
richmomz 4 points ago +4 / -0

Scipio even had his own version of the "Muh Russia" scandal - after he defeated Hannibal and became a national hero his political detractors at home became desperate to get rid of him. So they drummed up a fake controversy and accused him of colluding with one of Rome's enemies, dragging him through a sham show trial.

History may not repeat itself, but it sure as hell busts rhymes like a 90's rap star.

2WrongsMakeALeft 2 points ago +2 / -0

With a Trump victory, the Chinese will pay a price. I believe POTUS is savvy enough that they'll pay dearly, yet in a non-violent way. I listened to parts of his rally over the weekend where he mentioned China was buying huge amounts of American corn, etc. At first, I was taken aback and wasn't sure I liked it. But then it came to me: he already has China eating out of our hand. POTUS is only a firmly-applied fist clenching away from crushing the deep state rebellion. Long live DJT and the USA!

Great commentary as usual by VDH. Love that guy. A voice in the wilderness. And in the comments, the troll named "hollywood" vomits out his prepared talking points like a barking seal, right on schedule, as ordained by his masters. Love to talk with that clown in a few years and see if he woke up...

Isn't it amazing that they all say exactly the same thing when criticizing Donald Trump? Hmmmm almost like mockingbird media delivers the talking points directly into their heads!

1
Trumpy_Bear 1 point ago +1 / -0

But he's not. He's just a revolutionary. The Right is now revolutionary and the Left is now reactionary. The Left's policies have been in power for decades and are proving to be corrupt and dysfunctional, yet the Left wants to maintain its status quo. This makes the Left reactionary and the Right revolutionary
