The presidential election is not based on popular vote, if it was, Killary would have been president. We have a Republican form of government. See Article IV Section 4 of the Constitution. That should extend to all elections, not just for the president. Constitution needs to be tweaked to emphasize this. Just saying.

The USA is not a democracy, no where in the Constitution is democracy even mentioned. We are a Representational Constitutional Republic or many other variations on that theme.
