That's probably because the Selzer poll (IA) came out over the weekend showing Trump +7. It's the gold standard in IA.
IOW IA isn't any stronger for Trump than Texas but the polling is stronger so more people probably went to IA after it was released.
I'd expect him to win both by 10 points or more.

Definitely have hope here in Minnesota. Looked grim about a week ago, but now with the early voting and mail-in voting looking surprisingly close and with a HUGE number of Trump supporters planning to vote on Election Day, it's definitely possible.
Democrats really fucked up Minnesota by supporting the BLM riots, putting strict COVID lockdowns in place that hurt the economy, and by pushing people like Ilhan Omar.

I'm in a suburb of Minneapolis... worth trying to early vote today? Not sure how to do it. Kind of concerned about any fuckery they might try to pull tomorrow... my polling place changed from the previous 2 cycles, and what used to be an in-and-out process, I'm concerned they will have an enormous line now.

I mean I know my dad is voting for "Diamond Joe" (except that Diamond Joe is a character like Diamond Lil and both characters are long dead. Side note- this also is coming from someone who does have a soft spot for that character) and just moved to Minneapolis after the riots happened. If people in MSP continue to vote for the very idiots who ruin their towns, then they deserve what they get. NOT A DIME from my state taxes should go to help rebuild the MSP area.

Its fairly hard to believe the only Republicans Minnesota has voted for in 88 years were Eisenhower twice and Nixon
