Career politicians who are in charge of forming our laws and shaping our society are now lecturing us about how society doesn’t work and our laws are racist

It is quite true. But there is more to it. Too many people vote for these people and legitimize them. All of them can say "but I am elected, and I do what I am supposed to do!"

And it's not wrong. To some degree, people get what they what they voted for - they manifest themselves into the leadership of the country. They vote for corrupt, spineless, arrogant, elitist morons, who pursue their own self-interest, or push certain vicious ideologies like Marxism (in varying degrees).

Maybe these people shouldn't vote. Maybe the power of the country shouldn't be in the hands of such elected leaders in the first place, but in the individual itself. But over millennia we - as a species - were domesticated by violent and corrupt forces to lick the boot, to accept monarchs, aristocrats and governments, to abandon Individualism as selfish and to embrace Collectivism as benevolent, which unsurprisingly grants THEM power, grants THEM money, grants THEM status.

The problem with politically ignorant people will always exist. Young people will always lean towards ignorance, government power is always doomed to get corrupt over time. The issues we have today as civilizations will always prevail and never improve. We will never enjoy the freedom we could have as long as governments have such a sway over our lives.

Excellent post.

The Left-Right Paradigm, of course, was intended to keep us asleep, and blind us to the things you are saying.

Republicans would complain that Democrats were spending too much on social programs, and not enough on defense. Then, when the Republicans gained a majority, they would raise defense spending, but never reduce social spending. When Democrats gained the majority, they would raise social spending, but never reduce defense spending. Thus, the deficit, and the debt, would keep ratcheting up.

When we finally wake up, we see, as you say, that keeping the government in debt is the real goal -- of both parties.

And that's because government borrowing and debt payments is how the Federal Reserve counterfeiting scheme launders its money. The more debt, the more money the Fed can print, to loan to the government, so the Fed can get it back, and give it to themselves, the private owners of the Fed.

Which is why any Member of Congress who tries to reduce the debt is viciously attacked, and usually driven from office.

It would be much funnier if it weren't so true. We need term limits for Congress.

25 year cap on all government positions imo. That's more than long enough

I don't disagree, but Congressional term limits are meaningless unless the entrenched bureaucracy and K Street are eliminated.

America is advanced citizenship. Gotta pay attention to the news every day. Gotta be able to verbalize your reasoned viewpoint. Gotta train the kiddos. Gotta vote every election. Gotta be informed about local elections.

Going to DC looking for an honest politician is like going to a whorehouse in search of a virgin. Even if you manage to find one, odds are they won't remain one for long.
