Not only does it have a massive active duty and veteran population, its one of the few places you can legitimately campaign in all 50 states for thanks to the military/overseas ballots. Fayetteville itself also tends to be pretty purple in its selection, going more blue state and local and more red nationally. Getting it more red overall is a big way to boost Red turnout statewide.
If we were able to wall off LA and San Francisco, California would be deep red. That's why I'm hoping for a Calexit; The great majority of California counties would immediately leave to form Jefferson.
The situation is similar in Washington and Oregon.
Let those states try to leave, and they'll find out just how small they are.

I registered to vote weeks ago, and on a whim went to check to make sure I was registered last nite, and lo-and-behold, I wasn't. So I called the town clerk to find out what the hell was going on, and they said that there's nothing they could do, because they never received my application. So I called the secretary of the states office, and they had record of me registering, and that the town rejected it. So they said they would call, and told me to call back to the clerk's office 30 minutes later. Luckily that sorted them out, and they are hand writing me on to the roster, so I can vote tomorrow. Definitely some shenanigans going on at my town hall. When they had me on hold they said they were helping some one with the same problem.

It should be allowed, as a provisional ballot, which is only counted, if you return and meet the requirements set forth to validate the ballot. I can't imagine most fraudsters would, so those votes wouldn't be counted.
