I registered to vote weeks ago, and on a whim went to check to make sure I was registered last nite, and lo-and-behold, I wasn't. So I called the town clerk to find out what the hell was going on, and they said that there's nothing they could do, because they never received my application. So I called the secretary of the states office, and they had record of me registering, and that the town rejected it. So they said they would call, and told me to call back to the clerk's office 30 minutes later. Luckily that sorted them out, and they are hand writing me on to the roster, so I can vote tomorrow. Definitely some shenanigans going on at my town hall. When they had me on hold they said they were helping some one with the same problem.
Works out fine in the end, but to not have this sorted out before THE most important election of your lifetime is pretty stupid.

Rejected, eh? I wonder how many people are going to run into this tomorrow...
