Giving people the option for public transportation is not equity if they live in the sticks and have no ability to use transportation. Equity may require expanding bus routes, or giving them a vehicle tax credit. You see a big difference between equality and equity when you compare urban vs rural communities.
It doesn't make sure everyone gets to where they want to go, which is what Kamala said. It really just means people have the ability to get to where they want to go. I am not trying to convince anyone about equity, I am just trying to explain how she is wrong on more than one level.
