This is exactly it. They are such total and complete Satans. Tempting people with objects of envy and jealousy to draw them to their side. That's all they ever offer is envy and appealing to people's greed!

It reminds me of that simple joke where the peasants revolt against their king and one advisor comes up and tells the king the solution is simple. Simply tell the torch-wielders that the folks with pitchforks want to take away their torches.

It's insidious!
