This. I've been saying this for weeks. Obama had the college vote. They basically harvested votes on campuses and everyone was in on it bc muh first black president. I voted for him twice. Yet here we are. The dems cannot rely on their usual schemes bc COVID.
What they missed or aren't able to factor in, and this goes for all lockdown authoritarian states, is the scamdemic. It's affected D's and hurt them as well as red voters. It may not be a factor at all, but it's the one factor or element that is dramatically different than any past election. The D's have really hurt people and continue to do so.
I don't know. My area of upstate is fairly purple. I know a lot of people on both sides. Upstate leans red but I don't know if NYC's losses would be enough.

In 2016 the Rust Belt was NOT in play. Trump was universally mocked for believing he could win there and he did win but only because enough people decided to vote for Trump despite being told there was NO chance. Now its CA, NY, VA, WA and Oregon's turn to believe in the "impossible" and vote to make their dreams come true.
Not sure about VA (it could go either way but it will be close), but I make a promise for NH, MN, ME, NV as additional states to the states that we won in 2016.
