My uncle is very ill. My cousin is dragging him down to the polls to vote in person. Pushing him in a wheel chair if he has to. My uncle wants to vote TRUMP. In person.

FYI: He is not contagious.

Even if he was I would say he did the right thing.

Covid is far less scary than 4 years of leftist rule

The other is the Chyna Virus

I would snort a whole pixie stick sized tube of virus particles to vote for Trump.

Fortunately nobody's requiring you to do that. Viral load is what matters, and a pixie stick could be loaded with a LOT.

Conversely, pre-symptomatic & asymptomatic people have such a low viral load that it's silly to be concerned about them being contagious. Someone inordinately susceptible (like an immune system deliberately suppressed by medication, or lockdown) should take their own precautions.

I'll be clear: If Biden wins it's not just 4 years. People need to be smart here.

Well, can you imagine if he went in there with Covid? People would lose their minds! lol

Yes they would, but only if they knew. Out of all the people here, I've encountered only one that says they're voting today knowing they have it. While he said he "doesn't care about anybody else's immune system," he also said he's double masking, and covering every bit of skin. So he actually cares about others, a LOT. I don't know that covering every bit of skin even matters, but in this instance putting gloves on immediately before is a simple precaution that just might make all the difference.

Our people are responsible, which is why Trump rallies, lockdown protests etc. aren't a problem. The same cannot be said for rioters, nor the left generally. (Although every older D voter I've discussed this with in WI seems to be decent about it)

I think we have better hygiene than most younger D’s, too! lol

Thanks. I do too.

My dad was terminally ill in 2016 with pulmonary fibrosis and could barely get out of bed. He was on oxygen. It took everything he had to walk from the bed to the bathroom. But that Election Day he got up and got ready and went with my mom to cast a vote for Trump. It took everything he had to do it, but he did it. After Trump defeated Hillary, my dad was thrilled. It gave him a little pep and a renewed hope. He was hoping to hang around until the inauguration, but unfortunately, he died shortly after the New Year. Not long after his death, my mom got a letter from President Trump. It was a letter of appreciation for my father’s service in the military. It meant the world to my mom, as my dad was in Vietnam and had been spit on when he arrived back in the USA. Trump was the first and only politician to ever say thank you.

My uncle is in a somewhat similar situation, but I do believe he has some hope for a full recovery. We shall see.

What a story! DJT is such a gem. I was about 12 when the bulk of them were returning, and did not understand this response from people. It made quite the impression on me though. As did my brother's draft number coming up A-1, just when they stopped the draft. And 2 of his HS buddies that were helicopter pilots and made it back. Nothing good about their stories.

Pulmonary fibrosis is no joke!

My father made it back and then they sent his older brother. My father had been there and witnessed the horrors, so he knew the mess his brother was going to experience. It was a tough time. By the grace of God, they both survived. However years later, my dad got PF and thinks it was probably from his time in Vietnam where he had to burn waste. The horrors of his experiences never left him. Your brother was lucky.
