I've never been through a TSA body scanner. The problem is I know too much about them (I know a guy who wrote software for them). They are NOT safe, especially if you travel a lot (and I do).
So before TSA PreCheck, I got brailed before every flight.
The TSA agent would ask me "do you want a private screening?"
I would answer, in a conversational voice, "no, I want as many witnesses and I can get".
It would violate your rights but best to just grin and bear it so we can get all the votes we need.
