Back in 2004, a liberal co-worker was warbling in the faculty lounge about how, if the polls showed him behind, George W Bush was going to declare martial law and stop the election.
I said, "Oh nonsense."
Lib, "He will! He will, he's a fascist!"
I said, "I'll bet you $20 he doesn't.
Lib, "... I'm not going to bet, but you watch."
I said, "Five bucks, then. I bet you five bucks he doesn't."
Lib, "... no... look, I don't want to bet money, I just know that--"
Me: "One dollar. Fifty cent. I bet you fifty cent. You won't bet fifty cents??"
He finally, reluctantly, bet me 50 cents. Would not pay up later, insisted that "voter suppression" was close enough. Avoided me like the plague for the rest of the year. Left America for New Zealand shortly after. Last I heard, he hated NZ but couldn't afford to leave. LOL
LOL... well, no, he had always fantasized about NZ... you know, socialism "done right." Turns out he was in a higher tax bracket than he realized. One of this friends a year later commented that he wanted to leave NZ but literally couldn't afford a plane ticket. Oh, how I laughed...

Takes a real cuck to move to new Zealand to avoid paying a $0.50 bet back
