Didn’t want to be rude to a fellow pede but that’s what I was thinking. An unloaded gun is just a glorified club. At least they loaded their magazines though
There are millions of new firearms owners that do not know any better, and many of them did not grow up around guns. Some people really think that a gun can magically go off, especially if dropped (some can but most modern firearms have multiple safeties built in to prevent this). A lot of these people gained their knowledge of guns from watching movies or shows
As for people keeping magazines unloaded, there’s a myth out there that keeping mags loaded will damage the springs, that’s the most likely reasoning I can think of.
The legal battle after a defensive shooting is one that can be overlooked by many. The LEO instructor teaching my ccw class had to go through one. In a state like Cali I can only imagine how much worse it is. If you get good CCW insurance they should be able to cover you though as long as your shooting (it can also apply to other forms of self defense without a firearm though) was justified. USCCA and CCW Safe are some of the 2 big ones
A couple of months ago I told my parents I was worried about what the left might pull starting Nov 3 & asked them to please bring a gun up from their safe & keep it near them in the house around then. My mom laughed & my dad pointed to all the different places they had a loaded gun hidden- just in the living room.

Why are people paranoid about saying they keep a loaded gun in the house?
Or are there people who actually have a gun, but don't keep rounds in the magazine?? 🤔
I'm seriously confused.

Laws are so fucked in california that I'm probably better off getting killed than I am legitimately defending my life

Fag
I keep a potato gun next to me when I sleep and it’s just smarter to keep potatoes next to the bed
Every gun in my house is loaded at all times and they’re laying all over the place. Work from home and live alone, it’s pretty nice.
I have a loaded gun in every room of my house lol. What good is a bunch of bullets if they aren’t in a magazine and ready to be loaded
