The slave owners/Democrats wanted more power, and since they couldn't get their stupid ideas through by following the rules, they demanded representation in Congress for their slave population, who couldn't vote. The North called them on their BS and trolled them by offering to count slaves as 3/5 of a person. Today, everyone still hates the Democrats' stupid ideas, and they can't win by playing by the rules. So, in addition to nominating activist supreme court justices who deride the constitution, they want to pack the court. Instead of convincing voters to elect more dem senators, they want to create new states (where they shouldn't be), with the promise that they will only elect Democrat senators and reps. Lastly, they want to end the electoral college, the main thing that makes our republic a republic, instead of a tyrannical mob democracy. Democrats are actual communists who hate America.
