It would be incredibly uncanny to instantaneously swap consciousness for a time with someone who was born deaf. To not have my inner voice, my sense of self, my thoughts would be uncanny. It would be really weird. It's something truly hard to imagine. I have read that those born deaf have an inner voice that is less parsed as audible and more parsed as gestural.
