Nuff said, very nice girl, smart, cute, reasonable. But conversation went to politics and she couldn't handle it in the long run.

This is how the gent winds up hurt. Either through an unhappy entanglement if the woman gets pregnant and keeps the child (stuck in a possibly crazy person's life forever) or they abort it and a part of you dies inside. Zero sum game. Not worth thr risk..
